    Local Monuments
    There are many monuments in Sligo, such as:- The Cenotaph, Teeling's monument, and a monument of Lady Erin.
    There is also a monument erected in memory of Mr. McHugh, and it is outside the Post Office. This monument is believed to be put there because Mr. McHugh was a member of the Irish Parliament.
    The Cenotaph was erected in memory of those, who were killed in the "Great War", and every year people being wreaths of poppies up to it, because there were poppies growing in the battle field, when the was was on
