  2. The special times of the year when people get married are Shrove, August , and September. The country people marry in Shrove and the town people in August and September.
    They make matches in Killorglin all the time, on Tuesdays and Fridays. And a few days before the marriage the girl goes with her father to the boy's place.
    They say that Monday or Thursday are bad days to get married, as a person would have bad luck. It is also said to be unlucky for the married couple to meet
