    market themselves wherever their market was. Some people took the firkins on their backs and those who had horses and carts them in them.
    This home-made butter fetched a great price in Cork, and it was by this the people mostly made their living.
    In later years the methods of making butter improved and became easier. Then the creameries were built and since they have got no trouble in making it, because the whole thing is done by machinery and steam.
