GalwayOld Cures(1) Long ago if a woman's child had the "chin cough" the mother would ask the first man with a white horse, that she met for a cure for it.
(2) If a child had "creasgald" on its tongue the mother would look for a boy who never saw his or her father, to breathe on its tongue. If it was a boy the mother would look for a girl, and if it was a girl, the mother would look for a boy.(continues on next page) - Collector
