  1. Local Cures.
    Warts.
    Take a snail in a box, rub it on the wart. Place the snail on a thorn. As the snail withers, the wart disappears.
    Put a stone in a bag for every wart you have. Leave the bag on the road. Whoever takes up the bag will get the warts.
    Steal a potato, cut it in nine parts, bury it. As the potato rots, the warts will disappear.
    Cut the wart with a horse hair.
    Wartweed is also a cure.
    Rub the milk.
    Whooping cough.
    Take a large Spanish onion. Cut it in thin slices, with a pound of
