“One cold bad winter a poor farmer meet with a lot of trouble and sickness.”
One cold bad winter a poor farmer meet with a lot of trouble and sickness. He was so badly hit he could not pay his rent & told the landlord’s agent so. One evening he was forced to go to a neighbor’s house & beg for some food. He was given a bag of meal. The way home led him by the agent’s house. Unfortunately he put down his bag of meal to rest himself near the agent’s gate. As he was resting the agent came by. He seized the bag of meal to help pay for the rent.
