    father, and worked for him in the shape of a little pony.
    The magician came one day when the father was drunk, and bought the pony for a few pounds. Then the son tried to get back to his father again. One day he turned himself into a trout, but the magician sent his pupils after him in the form of otters. The son then turned himself into a pigeon but the otters turned themselves into hawks and followed him.
    The pursuit was so keen that the son had to turn himself into a ring, and fly into one of the Lords castle windows and stay [as?] a ring on the Lords finger. The hawks turned themselves into people and demanded the ring. The Lord was very interested in this pursuit
