about this district namely:- "The Green Hill of Doomore" and "Doocastle all around". The former was composed by John Cawley of Doomore, who was a well known tailor and who died a few years ago. There are no woods or rivers, lakes or streams in my townland. In olden times people used to emigrate to America and Australia but now they go to England.
