  1. It is said that there is a pot of gold hidden in a fort owned by Willie Duffy. Once upon a time there was a girl drawing water from a spring well that is situated near the fort. She said that she saw a croch of gold beside the well but that there was a black cat watching it. She ran and told the neighbours about it and they did not believe it. They said that she was joking them. But the girl brought the people to the place where she saw the gold, and the people said that they could not see it. But the girl said that she could see it. Then the people told her to go and get the gold. But every time she would go to get the gold the cat would let sparks of fire our of his eyes and then then the girl would roar and scream
