    St Brigid is the patron Saint of Kilcullen. Her convent was situated at The Curragh about four miles from Kilcullen.
    The parish church St. Brigid. In the "valley" of the Liffey there is a small well called St. Brigid's. The name Brigid is a common name in Kilcullen. On the 1st February many people visit the well and make the St. Brigid's crosses from "rushes". These are brought home and hung on the wall of the home as they
