was usually a procession from the house to the chapel. And coming home there was a race between the horsemen.
On the following night a great dance was held which was called the wedding night. All the men used to come and dance and sing on that night. Also the straw boys come and they are welcomed to the wedding. Also a haul was made when they were coming home. A rope was put across the road and the parties had to give money to them
