   furrows are again cut with the plough to make more mould. This mould is shovelled up on the ridge too, and covers up the newly growing stalks. My father, and we keep the riage clean by pulling the weeds as they grow.

2. Ploughs

   There are no wooden ploughs used now in this place, but some wooden ploughs were used about thirty years ago. A farmer named Michael Donoghue, who lives in Ballyglass, Dysart, has an old one in the barn yet. He does now use it.
   Ploughs, shovels, and spades are bought in the shop. Each
