    this only on Monday and Thursday. Boils are cured by putting a poultice made by mixing soft sugar with common yellow soap, and pounding them up together. A thorn from a whitethorn bush which grows at a spot where "three parishes meet" will also cure a boil, if the person with the boil goes the said bush, plucks a thorn and points it at the boil, while standing at the bush.
