  1. The local fairs are held in Cloughjordan, Nenagh, and Roscrea. They are always held in towns. The buyers never transacted business in the country (at crossroads or at farmers houses).
    The town fair is held in the streets. When an animal is sold, there is luck-money given. When in animal is sold, the halter is retained.
