  1. Long ago in the Penal days the priests was hounded and would not be allowed to say mass.
    There is a place about two miles and a half from our school called Urra where priests said mass in the Penal times.
    Urra was the only place that mass was celebrated in those times. Urra hill is situated beside the Shannon.
