  1. Clontuskert Abbey 17-11-'38
The scene is now desolate, except for the present of some sight-seer or pilgrim to the well. The glory of the Abbey has passed away, save in the hearts of Clontuskert men. The Angelus bell is silent within it's walls, the noiseless footsteps of decay have swept over it, Abbots and monks and brothers have passed into the silent tomb. Yet in the freshening breeze we hear, in the words of Oisin, "A tale of the times of old - the deeds of the days of other years".
