    "Mister Terence Ó Kerin the priest caused me to be made for the use of the Friars Minors of Quinhy A.D. 1670"
    In those days, I believe, priests were not addressed as Father, but as Mister, the title father being of comparatively recent introduction.
    In contradiction to the above Mr. O'Halloran Ballyhannon Quin told me that he heard that it was the O'Brien family of Dromoland that restored the chalice to the parish priest.
    There is also in possession of the parish priest another silver chalice, but of smaller size, bearing date of eighteenth century.
