    did not see the horses. Tuohy's horse struck him and killed him.
    When a woman was calling hens, she says "Tuic, tuic" which means "Come, come". When a hen is being set to hatch, thirteen eggs are put under her, because thirteen is an odd number and "there's luck in odd numbers". No-one sets eggs in June, because they say June is a "weak" month.
    When a woman is calling turkeys, she says "biadh, biadh", which means "Food, food".

    The cows go out of their milk if the owner burns elder.
