  1. Certain herbs and plants are supposed to have medicinal properties. The leaf of the dandelion is supposed to have a cure for anaemia. The leaves are pulled and boiled in milk and this is drunk when cold three times a day.
    The dock leaf is a cure for nettle sting. The dock leaf is pulled and rubbed on the nettle rash and it immediately cures the sting. The gooseberry thorn pointed on nine successive morning towards a stye, cures it. The seed of the when boiled is a cure for cough's and all pulmonary diseases.
    There is a root the of which is called "Company". It is a cure for bad cuts. The root is pulled and scraped. Then it is mashed up with a fork and is applied to the cut which immediately begins to heal after this treatment.
