    One summer's noonday, it was on a June day,
    I wandered down through the boreen sweet.
    To a monster rally at the Breaky alley,
    Where strangers sally, and kinsmen meet.
    II
    With thousands present on this day so pleasant,
    The peaceful "mill" was a stirring place.
    And of these large numbers that roused its slumbers
    From memory some I will try to trace
