  1. You may talk of Limerick city,
    And the Giant's Causeway too,
    The vale of Sweet Avoca,
    And the River Shannon view,
    The hills around Killarney,
And the scenes round Galway Bay
    Are only simple places,
    When compared with Loughlanlea.
    From its lofty elevation
    The scenes are something grand.
You can see the Hill of Tara
    And around to Lavey Strand
    The ships in Dundalk harbour,
And them bathing out at Bray.
    And the hills of Connemara
    From the top of Loughlanlea.
    While around its lovely valleys
You'll see nature at its best,
With some gay young lads and lassies Coming there to take a rest.
    You'll always find true lovers.
