    She looked behind her and there, under the shade of a large tree, (and) mending boots, was a fairy.
    It had a green coat on it and red breeches.
    The little girl was very afraid at first,
    but then she went over to the fairy, and he told her to look beside the next tall tree she would meet.
    The little girl went away from the fairy wondering what she would see.
    She grew very tired, and she thought she would see nothing, when suddenly, she noticed something shining in front of her.
    She went up to it, with great glee, and lifted it up in her hands.
    She ran home me with it to her mother and father, and showed them her gift.
    It was a little silver box, and when she opened it, she found it full of gold.
    She then told her parents about the old woman, and how she helped her to carry her load of sticks, and her parents were very pleased with their kind little daughter, and
