  1. If the butter is not coming on the churn, put nine irons the fire.
    If you skim the well on the first may morning you make take the butter off anyone's churn you like.
    If anyone comes into the house when churching is going on, and if he did not take a turn at it, no butter would come on the milk.
    If you put salt the milk before starting you will have good luck.
    In this district the ordinary churn with up and down dash, is the one which is generally used.
    Sometimes this type of churn and dash is worked by a horse, or some mechanical power.
