    put her into a bag so anybody would not know what he had. He started off with the cat in the bag. When they were gone about a half a mile they were met by hounds and horse men. They asked Tom what had he in the bag. He said it was a hen but they pulled the bag from him and the cat jumped out and away through the fields. The hounds followed her but they could not reach her until they came to a small house and as she was going in through the window a hound bit her in the hip. The men went in through the door and they could only find a old woman with a cut on her hip. Tom went home and ate a good supper.
