  1. Warts. The following cures are given for warts. Whether the cure has been successful or not can only be proved by those affected.
    1 Fasting spittle rubbed on the warts for nine mornings.
    2 Black snail found by accident by person affected. This is rubbed on warts & then stuck on thorn of white thorn bush. The warts wither as the snail withers.
    3 Water found in hollow of a stone or in fork of a tree. The warts are washed by person affected & this is a cure.
    4 Bacon stolen & rubbed on the warts & then buried under a stone. When bacon rots the warts disappear.
    5 Warts washed in forge water the water in the cooling through is given as a cure.
