  1. We have cows, calves and a horse on our farm. All the cows have got names. Bawnby cow, Bawny, Peg, Polly Smith's cow and Blackie. When we re bringing home the cows we say "bail up" and when we want the calves we shout "suck suck suck" and they come running. The cowhouse is longer than it is wide, built with stone and has a galvanise roof. There are divisions in it made with boards and each division holds two cows. The cowhouse is called the byre. The cows are tied with
