  1. I rise from this bed of sleep to adore one God and to adore but him alone may I rise on the Last Day to life ever lasting.
    When clothing say
O my Jesus clothe my soul with the robe of Charity and may I wear it pure and undefiled before the Judgement Seat.
    When in bed say
I fold my arms in the shape of a cross and say I must die, I do not know where when or how but if I die in mortal sin I am lost for ever. My Jesus have mercy on me.
If any evil happens me may the Blessed Virgin come and waken me.
O lord be the Branch O Lady be the Flower
O Sweet Jesus be at my dying hour.
There are four corners on my bed there are four angels at my head. Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John, God bless this bed that I lie on, and if I die before I wake to God I give my soul to keep.
In our district when lighting a lamp we say God give us the light of Heaven.
