  1. There are many Local Cures connected with Arklow.
    Very old turnips are put to broken bones. Cobwebs are used for cuts.
    Liver is used for bruises. Sheep's Blood is used for Shingles. It is said if a person has sore eyes and that if some one blows through a wedding ring at the eyes they will get better. For Whooping Cough a red tape is tied around the neck.
