  1. I can only find out information concerning four landlords who lived in this parish.
    "They were Clonel Tynte who lived in Tynt Park about two miles from the town of Dunlavin.
    "His estate contained about eight Thousand acres and is today owned by Miss Fynte.
    "Lord Grogan was landlord of Fryanstown situated beside the Fynt estate. It is rather small it only containes about two thousand acres.
    "Lord Fisher who was landlord of Merginstown and had about the same amount of land as Grogan.
    "Mr Pennefather is Landlord of Rathsallagh and has a fairly big estate it contains about five thousand acres.
    "He does not live on his estate but he employes men to work it.
    Mr Fenton is foreman of the estate.
