- (continued from previous page)2. Another place where Mass was celebrated was under a white thorn tree in a hollow near the farmyard in Mount Wolseley demesne now in possession of the Patrician Brothers. The Wolseleys cut the tree down but it has grown again since that time.
- During the Penal Times Mass was said on the hillside while members of the congregation kept watch for the approach of the English yeomen.
