  2. In front of Johnstown House, the property of Mrs Connellan, there is a field know as Patrick's field. Ther eis a well in the corner of this field. It is known as Patrick's Well. Just beside the well there is a flat round stone in which there are two hollows. It is said that these marks were made by St Patrick when he knelt on the stone. It is also said that St Patrick blessed this well himself. People by the name of Byrne tried to boil some of the water from this well but failed.
