  1. I live in the townland of Corries probably a clan name or the rocks, it is known as the big rock it may have got its name from the big stone by the road at the other boundory of Corries.
    It is situated on a small hill. The shape of it is something like a triangle, it is about a mile in length. The population is seventy people in it now, and there were about eighty people.
    There is a rath in William Ryan's field, and a man by the name of Michael Joyce was going home from rambling one night, he went through the rath, but for hours he could find no gate nor no way out.
