  1. Local Cures
    In the olden days when there were very few doctors, the people used to cure the diseases themselves. The skill of some old women in this way is said to have been remarkable. Here are some of the cures most frequently used:-
    Yellow Jaundas:
    Was cured by drinking some of the water in which cabbage was boiled. Sometimes the serious cases of the diseass, was cured by, boiling maggots and drinking their soup. This remedy was given to the patient under an
