  2. There is also a "Mass Rock" in Mr Sherlock's field and it is said that during the Penal Days mass was offered there, and that the people from the surrounding districts came to hear Mass there. At that time Agall was mostly wooded, thus is affording scout hiding places for the priests. On the "Mass Rock" there is a chalice drawn out and there is also an inscription on it. Near it is a Holy Well but it contains no water.
