    They are all beech trees and are all the same height.
    There is a ring all round the trees. Near the trees is a stile and a black man is supposed to have been seen there. A soldier was shot there long ago and he walks round the trees every night.
    On the other side of the road (the road) there is a big wood and down at the end of it a ball of fire rises and goes across the road and up to the clump of trees. The place where the fire rises is called the brick yard.
