    was going, and the other
replied that he was going to
    jump at Rosegarland Sports.
"If you cannot beat me," said
the other, "it is no use going
there for I have been beaten
    there already."
Then they had a contest, and
the man, who was going to compete,
was defeated by the man who
    was returning.
He then decided that there was
no use in going to the sports, and
he returned to Carlow with his
    companion.
There is no record of the
nature of the leap, but there

    man who was defeated in
    Rosegarland.
