  1. One time long ago, a man lived in Kilscanlon, he was a Palatine and he did not believe in holy things.
    There was a blessed well in the lane. This man had a horse that died and he threw the old horse into the blessed well. That night the well arose and it crossed over the river and the fields and fell in a field in Tinnacarrig. There four angles before it and two other angles following it with a light. The Palatine saw all this and of course got a fright. In the morning it was found in Tinnacarrig with a beautiful stone around it, the well is to be seen there still.
