    My Home District
There are five families in Garrybritt (parish of Monageer) There are thirty-six people in it. There are three slated houses, one thatched, and one covered with felt. There are two old ruins of houses in this townland. There are many bogs in Garrybritt. Some of the land is good and more of it is bad. There are two rivers in Garrybritt.
There are two old people over seventy.
It is said that a funeral goes across the bogs every night at twelve o'clock and out to Kilcormack Graveyard.
One of the old ruins in Garrybritt is called the Mill House because there was once a mill there.
This place is supposed to be haunted and it said that a little old woman dressed in black is there about eleven or twelve o'clock every night.
