- and the water on the other well flows from the quarry about three hundred yards away. Many people have been cured by the water. The land on which the well is belonged to, the Rath family for hundreds of years. The chapel was there till the time of Cromwell. The church field is filled where the chapel stood. The Horse field is the field where the holy well is, and it is two fields away from the Church field.
