If a young child is lying in the grass the bigger children will say "get uop from there for if you fall asleep in that grass an "evet" will creep into your mouth and down your throat and stop inside your stomach.
The child gets frightened and will not sit on the grass again.
If you catch an evet and cut it up into ten little pieces and leave it on the ground the pieces will stick together again and it will not die. People also say that if you catch an evet by the tail it can leave its tail behind and run away safe.
