- Retired under 'New Rule' regulating the retiral age of women teachers with a view of relieving unemployment in the teaching profession -Clonmines School.
The old school, predecessor of St. Leonards NS. is now the dwelling house occupied by Mr. Pat Colfer a member of the Wexford Co. Council. Pat Colfer's father purchased it from V. Rev. T. O Connor P.P. Ballycullane for a nominal sum.The Teachers who taught there as far as can be ascertained were :

Miss Furlong
Miss Budd, who afterwards became Mrs. Aspel Ramsgrange, and used to walk all the way from Ramsgrange to Clonmines - 5 1/2 milesMrs Costello - who was the last teacher of Clonmines.
She was the 1st teacher of St. Leonards N.S. built in 1898.- Collector
