  1. Mrs. Kelly of Aughafin who was on trial in Sligo heard of a cure in this well. She had a son disfigured he had his feet turned back ways. She went to this well and made a station which had to be made In this well a fish appeared every seven years. When the people were doing their station they had to drop a biscuit into it and when it reached the water it disappeared. This woman made her station and brought home water from it and rubbed it on her son and in a week he was cured and able to walk.

  2. In olden times people had a cure for stye on the eye by pulling nine Gooseberry thorns. Each morning you should point one thorn to the eye and throw it away until you have them all used and by that time the stye is cured.
