    people wore such as dresses, aprons, shawls, pyjamas, [?] and stockings were spun by themselves, and also their bed clothes.
    When they went out with their cows in the morning to let them feed along the road they would bring their spinning wheels with them and spin on the way.
    The people used to bring the things they spun into the market to sell them and got a good price for them.
    In those days the people made candles from rushes. They peeled the rush all but one green stripe and then dipped it in grease or fat. They had a little stand of wood on which there were nippers to leave the candle.
