    went and was accompanied by faithful guide. He administered the Last Sacraments to the dying man. He was returning home chanting a little hymn to the mother of God, little dreaming that the priest-hunters and their blood-hounds were after him. He was going up a little hill which was covered with furze bushes when he heard a sound of footsteps behind him. He turned around and there the enemy was after him "Dog of a priest" he says, "I have found you at last. You have come back to preach against and murder the King's loyal subjects. You are my prisoner now and if you run away I will set the blood-hound after you and he will tear you to pieces." The sight of the priest-hunter frightened the priest but it was for a moment. He blessed himself and placed his confidence in Him Who is All Powerful and fled
