A short distance away there is another hill not quite so big. About sixty years ago, a man, James Fox dreamt one night that there was a lot of money under a certain bush at the end of the hill. When he got up the next morning he started digging for the gold, but he did not succeed in finding any.
In a field near by there is a corner called the "Dark Corner," and in former times music was supposed to be heard there. One night a certain man from the locality was coming from a neighbour's wake, and on his way he had to pass this corner. On approaching the corner he heard some noise, and when passing, he saw a small man coming out, and a crock of gold on his back, as gold was supposed to be hidden there. The man told the neighbours about this and they told him that if he kept his eye on the man with the gold he would get the money from him.
