  1. In the house where Patrick Briody of Killpatrick now lives, I heard my Aunt say that a nailer made nails there. He had nail-rods about a half-inch thick, he reddened those and cut a nail out the length required. He put the nails into a mold to put a point on them. He sold boot-nails at 2 and a half d a 100. John Milady was his name and the crossroads is known as Milady's crossroads.
