    About two years ago a man named Jack Lynch kept a kiln in which he burned lime, in Knockbaack.
    At first he used to light a fire with sticks and turf and then put a layer of limestones and a layer of culm, a layer of limestones and a layer of culm, and so on until the kilm was full.
    The good lime will come out powdery and as white as flour, sometimes a lot of sandstones are found mixed through.
    The kiln is about ten feet deep
