  1. Long ago there used to be a very popular game in the district. This game was bullet throwing or bowling as it was called. This game was often very hotly contested. The bullet was a large ball two stone weight. This game was to see who would throw the bullet the farthest. Willie Sassidy won fame at this game and also at weight throwing.
