  1. One evening two people were crossing from Whitewood to Brittas, and they heard crys behind the ditch On going out they found a "Banshee" It was like a little old woman. She was about two feet in height and her hair hung down to her toes, and formed a gown.
    Its fingers and toes were like knitting needles. It is said that it follows the members of certain families when a death occurs.
