    A man named Mick Masterson lived in Fraine Bog in a little straw house that you would have to stoop to go into.
    He earned his living by making besoms of heath and he used to cut the thorns of the briars and split them and tie them round the beasoms and sell them in Athboy for a halfpenny each.
    There is an old forge at Earls Mill belonging to Paddy Kelly. He is about fifty years of age.
